This house underwent some major surgery! This house started out as a very chopped up 1960’s house with an “H” shaped layout and was transformed into an open concept main floor layout with a ranch style front porch. This transformation involved demolishing the entire roof structure, adding new foundation and floor sections for the open concept layout, then a new engineered clear-span roof was built over the existing but modified main floor exterior walls. The new clear-span roof also involved some custom framing to tie in the existing garage roof, making sure all roof areas were sloped to drain properly for the new shingles. Finally, the new main floor layout was framed inside, and then the house was wrapped up in new vinyl siding. The interior finishing was completed by the client.
